   I have been listening to (Ms. Bourne's) Effective Life Skills CD's for over two years, and I don't know what I would do without them, specifically, Creating a Safe Place for Sleep and The Inviting Garden Path for Sleep, Meadow version. I listen to one of the CDs almost every evening to help me fall asleep. Most of the time I never make it through the entire CD and I fall asleep with the headphones on. During those times that I do make it through the CD, Mrs. Bourne's voice is so soothing. Her voice alone, can calm me down enough to relax and allow myself to fall asleep. Her CD's are better than any teddy bear. It has helped me tremendously to clear my mind of my stress...I really don't know how I would have lived without these CDs, under the stress I have been going through with my husband's illness, and now his loss... It really works!!

Even though I wanted to hear the whole CD (The Inviting Garden Path for Sleep) all the way through, because it was sooo peaceful and relaxing, I couldn’t ever get beyond the first 15 minutes or so before I would be fast asleep! …. The moderator’s voice is very soft and soothing … perfect for this kind of relaxation tape … I keep trying to get to the end because I want to hear the rest, but never have made it… Now, the first couple minutes have become like a cue to relax totally, shut out the world, and I immediately fall asleep… It has become a routine I look forward to at the end of my day.

It was great! I listened to it (Songs of the Sea for Sleep) while soaking in the bathtub, and then after becoming completely relaxed, crawled into bed. It was so relaxing that I repeated the experience the next night. I couldn’t give you any criticism because it was so peaceful. For me, being home alone was best. I wouldn’t want to explain to anyone or have any outside interferences . . . It was just time for ME!

I’ve been going through a very stressful and traumatic personal situation – a difficult divorce. The CD (Creating A Safe Place for Sleep) seems to be the only thing that helps me to relax and feel “safe” enough to fall asleep. It lets me stop thinking about all the worries and bad things, stop feeling so anxious and afraid, so that I can get some rest … and be able to face what I have to. I have had a lot of trouble getting to sleep because of pain – throbbing headaches or sometimes muscle aches & pain… I know tension and stress have played a big part. The all-over relaxation CD (Complete Body and Mind Relaxation for Sleep) has been a huge help in giving me a way to completely relax my body and get my mind to quiet down so I can fall asleep. It has even helped with the leg spasms I used to have that would wake me up in the middle of the night. Now I sleep much deeper and get better rest, so I actually feel rested when my alarm goes off in the morning!
